Alesia had been dreading turning eighteen for months. Her powers hadn't yet revealed themselves, meaning she was doomed to have to take the blocking test. A test that killed everyone that took it. When her powers suddenly appear, a future she never thought would exist became a possibility. She never imagined, though, that this future would be as a guardian. Duncan never expected for his entire future to be derailed by the newbie guardians that had been brought to the village, least of all by his mentor's niece, Alesia.
