Through My Eyes
A book of poems mainly for children and the young at heart
Ever aware that people see things differently, the author writes poems based on her experiences with nature as seen THROUGH her EYES. Many of the poems are inspired by life on the campus of a private school located in rural Montgomery County, Maryland. This school sits on almost 150 acres of wooded land with streams flowing through it and lots of wild life to observe. It is also adjacent to park land. The author works and lives on the campus and is always enthralled by the beauty of life in a rural setting where reflecting on nature comes easily. Visiting the city and observing the hectic pace, gives you a real appreciation for living in the country. The book of poems, THROUGH MY EYES, is the author's first published work, but there are several other genres scheduled for the near future. The author, a retired teacher, met the artist while working as a staff member of the School's Residential Life Program and Health Center. "I am very fortunate to have access to very talented students who offered to do the illustrations for my book. I am continually amazed by the talent of Seo Won, who is a senior and will be graduating this spring." Says the author.
