He is an expert of Dutch military history from 1500 to around 1800. Ronald Prud’homme van Reine is a maritime historian and independent researcher. He has written several biographies about Dutch naval heroes. Louis Sicking is a university lecturer at Leiden University. His field of research is primarily the maritime history of the Netherlands in the fifteenth and sixteenth century. Adri van Vliet is deputy director of the Netherlands Institute of Military History. He specializes in Dutch maritime history of the sixteenth and seventeenth century.
