Praying Today's Psalms

Oswald Chambers said concerning the prayer life of many, "The great battle in private prayer is overcoming this problem of our idle and wandering thinking." And perhaps that's understandable because Romans 8 tells us, indeed, we do not know how to pray as we should. But it also says the Spirit can intercede for us and connect us with God. So, what can we do to implement the Spirit doing that? We can pray God's own words back to Him by employing the 150 prayers in the Psalms! We can pray according to the will of God when we pray His prayers, and new focus to capture our wandering thoughts and intimacy with Him can result. But then there's the problem of many concepts applicable to the Old Covenant Christians can't pray. That's the point of Praying Today's Psalms: it infuses the Psalms with New Covenant words we can pray.
