Lynn and Margie's listening ears is a children's book about a set of fraternal twin sisters who have had to stay home for remote learning due to the Coronavirus. The girls face certain challenges while being home and have difficulty listening to their mother.As their mother works remotely as well, she becomes frustrated, however, she guides them, to assist with their emotions implementing Emotional Responsive Practices. As a result the girls learn how to self- regulate their behavior and use appropriate language, and actions that are acceptable, respectful, and developmentally appropriate.This book will take you on an emotional journey of how some children and parents throughout the world may have faced real-life challenges due to COVID-19. The author has added parent tips/resources to help self-regulate children's behavior, and coping methods with the stress of working from home while taking care of children.In addition, vocabulary words are outlined in the text to build children's language development; these words are written in bolded letters throughout the book. The overall goal of this book has been to support both child and parent get through America's global pandemic healthy and effectively.
