Galatians
In the book of Galatians, the apostle Paul presents a fiery defense of the gospel in an attempt to pull the Galatian church back from the edge of apostasy. Author J. V. Fesko explains that in order to demonstrate the gravity of the Galatians' errors, Paul makes the chief subject of this epistle the doctrine of justification. Other main themes of the epistle are the doctrines of sanctification and eschatology. Fesko uses a simple, expository style to help readers understand the rich doctrines of Galatians and instructs us in biblical and systematic theology by uncovering the Old Testament roots of the gospel and distilling clear doctrinal statements from the Scriptures, all clarified and enriched by the insights of other great theologians. His commentary is practical, leading the reader in this present evil age to live by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself up for us.
